Pat Selchow and Jodi Ellingson from Apple Valley Rotary joined us to talk about Operation Royal Palm in Haiti in Partnership with Mission E4.
They are working on a Rotary Global Grant to install a new generator and two more 600 gallon water tanks with filtration. This project will bring clean water to 6,000 people of the village. It will have a distribution center for the clean water open to the children of schools and the public every day. This will eliminatio children in the schools getting Typhoid fever and bacterial infections from drinking from the river.
Lounia, age 11, would save her lunch for her brothers at home, knowing that they wouldn’t receive food from anyone. Her dream is to grow up and be a teacher in the school she goes to.
