Stacy Cox, Legacy of Love for Girls (LOL4G) ministry leader told us what the church is doing to stop human trafficking. Programs and charities include Project Rescue, Breaking Free, 30For Freedom, and Speed of Light. 100% of donations received go to the cause.
Lily (12) presented how she is helping raise awareness and donations. She participated in the #30FORFREEDOM Run and polar plunges. She also told us that most sex traffic abductees happen before the child is 13, a scary thought for her.
Lexi (14) presented how she is helping raise donations by selling Sweet Treats by Lexi, where proceeds are donated to the cause.
Jasmine (14) presented how she is helping raise donations by raking yards and has raised over $2,500.
Anita (18) discussed how she is helping multiple different church charities and raising money to build wells in Ethiopia.
James Peck, Youth Pastor at Redeeming Love Church, discussed many projects the Church is working on. He also ran in #30FORFREEDOM Run with Lily. Trafficking, sex-slaves and child prostitution is the human rights issues of our time. As many as 4 million women and children are caught in sexual slavery in our world today. A young girl can be sold for as little as $150 and will often be forced to service at least 10 customers per day, or over 3,000 a year.
The creative, adventurous, and entrepreneurial efforts of these young people who desire to be a part of the solution to end human trafficking and were willing to set big goals have collectively raised around $10,000 towards this initiative. You can help them further their goals of being world changers and helping to rescue more women locally, nationally, and abroad, through generous donations that support Free International. Donations by cash or check (made to RLC – place Speed the Light in the memo section) are welcomed!
