Expanding quality educational opportunities in Niger, West Africa. Their mission is to unify people and mobilize resources to expand quality, education opportunities in Niger.
98% of the population eat what they grow. Child mortality rate is about 20%, 1 out of 5 children die before the age of five because of malnutrition, malaria, typhoid, and meningitis. It is also the least educated country in the world. Only about 50% of children attend primary school, 20% attend secondary school, and less than 1% go to university.
Remember Niger Coalition supports Nigerian leaders and organizations that share their vision and values. They operate their schools and programs. Their partners include Rotary Clubs, Churches, School for the Deaf, School for Children with Disabilities, Girls Education Centers, and Public Schools.
They have 13 schools with over 2,600 students in 6 Regions, including Agadez, Tahoua, Niamey, Dosso, Maradi, and Zinder. The schools are concrete buildings with at least four classrooms.
Remember Niger Programs include; School Construction, Solar Power and Wells, Health Programming, Academic Enrichment, and Girls Advancement.
This years project is for the Niamey School for the Deaf in Niamey and Hamsa Girls School in Tahoua to provide Solar Power to utilize the power of the Sun. It will cost about $10,000, $5,000 per school.
